About Arash Archery
Founded with passion and precision, Arash Archery Club is a premier centre for Traditional Archery in the UK. 

Our mission is to revive, preserve, and promote traditional archery both nationally and globally. We train athletes in traditional forms of archery rooted in Iranian heritage, while preparing them for national and international competitions. We believe archery is more than a sport—it is a philosophy of focus, discipline, and cultural connection.

Hossein Shahr Abadi

President and Founder

Mr. Hossein Shah Abadi is one of the distinguished and pioneering figures in sports, with over 30 years of valuable professional experience. He has made significant contributions to the development and promotion of archery in Iran. As the head coach of the Iranian national archery team for veterans and para-athletes, and also the head coach of women's and para-archery teams in Khorasan Province, Mr. Shahr Abadi has played a pivotal role in nurturing talent and fostering excellence. His dedicated coaching has resulted in the training of numerous successful athletes who have won medals in national and international competitions. Mr. Shahr Abadi has also served as a member of the Medical Committee of the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran, where he contributed meaningfully to the scientific and medical advancement of sports in the country. Now residing in the United Kingdom, he continues his professional journey by establishing the Arash Archery Club, a specialised institution for traditional archery training. He is also active in the field of international medical classification for athletes with disabilities, making him a key expert at the forefront of promoting inclusive and professional sports globally. Mr. Hossein Shahr Abadi is a remarkable example of the fusion of experience, knowledge, and commitment in the field of sport. He continues to lead projects for the development of traditional archery both in Iran and the UK, and remains a respected authority in this domain.

Kawthar Shahr Abadi

Secretary General

Miss Shahr Abadi serves as the Team Manager during competitions and holds the position of Secretary at Arash Archery Club. She is one of the organization’s most dynamic, dedicated, and energetic young members. Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, she has also gained invaluable experience in marketing and social media management alongside her academic studies. Her deep passion for traditional archery led her to take on the role of Secretary General at Arash Archery Club, where she contributes with enthusiasm, focus, and commitment. In this role, she plays a vital part in coordinating administrative operations, managing media communications, and promoting the club’s activities. Combining technical knowledge, a creative mindset, and a genuine love for sport, Kawthar stands out as a talented and capable young manager who continues to make a significant impact in driving the club’s growth and success.

Arash Bahadoran

Treasurer

Mr. Bahadoran serves as the Club’s Treasure Manager and is a vital part of the Arash Archery leadership team. With a strong sense of responsibility and precision, he manages the club’s financial planning and budgeting. Beyond his administrative role, Mr. Bahadoran is also a devoted archer, bringing both passion and firsthand sporting experience to his position.
